My good friend, Marianne, hinted about Spiderman. I had to study on a turbo mode, so I could stick to my study schedule. It was her birthday last month, too. And so our get-together came one month late.
The Amazing Spiderman was entertaining! The cast was great. Although Gwen and Peter kissed after having fish for dinner (hehe)! (photo: filmofilia.com).
Food was NYFD Mexican Chili Burger, with large fries with Ranch and Cheese dips, and iced tea. This was a typical movie food fare. But I had no choice because Chicken Charlie’s queue wouldn’t let us dine in before the movie starts. Some guys had Chicken Charlie delivered inside the cinema. And I’m not talking about rice bowls, here! I guess they were just that good with their hands! (photo: openrice.ph)
I never got to see how my burger looked like, since I got to open it inside the cinema. But it tasted so good! The sweet/spicy blend of the Mexican chili enhanced the beefy goodness of the burger. The serving was generous, and it left me feeling more than satisfied. Marianne said she liked the iced tea, and i agreed. It was just light, not as acidic as Taters’ or Snaxx’. I didn’t finish the fries; they lacked flavor. I experimented on the dips – ranch was okay, cheese was a disappointment. I knew I should have gone with wasabi!
To cap the night, we had dessert at Swensen’s, and i got the banana boat. We got in 5 minutes before closing time. We were feeling quite guilty until more customers soon came. I loved the almond praline, which I paired with strawberry ice cream. Overall, the dessert was nothing special, and expensive. I love DQ more.
I am now looking forward to Skyfall, Total Recall, Bourne Legacy, The Dictator, and The Dark Knight Rises. Will have Chicken Charlie and Rub if I get to follow my study plan.
Life is good!
